Air Travel

Taniti is served by a small airport that accommodates small jets and propeller planes. The airport is currently being expanded to accommodate larger jets within the next few years. Most visitors arrive by air.

Cruise Ships

Some visitors arrive on a small cruise ship that docks in Yellow Leaf Bay for one night per week. Experience the island's beautiful harbor and convenient access to Taniti City.

Public Buses

Public buses serve Taniti City and run from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. An affordable and convenient way to explore the city and its surrounding areas.

Private Buses

Private buses serve the rest of the island beyond Taniti City. Perfect for exploring the rainforest, volcano, and other attractions throughout Taniti.

Taxis

Taxis are readily available in Taniti City. A convenient option for quick trips around the city or when you need door-to-door service.

Rental Cars

Rental cars can be rented from a local rental agency near the airport. Enjoy the freedom to explore the island at your own pace and on your own schedule.

Bike Rentals

Bikes and helmets are available to rent from several vendors throughout the island. Helmets are required by law. Taniti City is fairly flat and very walkable, making it perfect for cycling.

Walking

Taniti City is fairly flat and very walkable. Many tourists stay in the area surrounding Merriton Landing, which is easy to explore on foot. Perfect for discovering local shops, restaurants, and attractions.
